Pipian
Pipian
In El Salvador, "Pipián" has often been used as a slur against queer people—a word meant to ridicule, shame, or make us feel smaller.
But words can change.
Like many communities before us, we've chosen to reclaim it. What was once intended as an insult has become a badge of resilience, identity, and pride. Today, for many of us, Pipián is no longer about hate—it's about belonging.
This candle celebrates that transformation. It honors queer Salvadorans who have turned pain into power, creating space to exist authentically, loudly, and without apology.
Crafted with notes of Copal, Black Coral & Moss, and Pink Grapefruit, Pipián is a tribute to our roots, our resilience, and the beauty of being exactly who we are.
